Britchops Drum Tuition – your own Kit, your own Time.
The Britchops Foundation Course is much more than your typical drums/percussion book. It is a set of drums classes that features interactive tools, such as a complete MIDI File Library, to play along with.
Practical lesson topics range from Setting Up the DrumKit/Set (inc. Drums, Cymbals and Stands) and Holding your Drumsticks Correctly to Play Basic Strokes (Hands and Feet) and Creating your First Drums Parts inc. Grooves/Beats and Fills in todays contemporary music styles, such as Pop/Charts, Rock, Britpop/Indie and Dance/Funk.
It has also been specially developed so that any MIDI File Player available online with file play and built-in tempo changer can be used with the specially created Britchops MIDI File Library.
For example, with the excellent FREEware vanBasco’s MIDI Player, it can demonstrate every exercise, at any speed and teach you the basics of modern drumming in a fun, easy to learn, style.
When using this FREE MIDIware, your confidence will build with the tempo of each exercise, groove or fill. Or, you can simply learn every session ’by ear’!
Together these practical and interactive features will take you step-by-step through the very ABC’s of reading drum music to help you grasp the essential concepts and skills needed to play today’s modern drumming basics.
The Britchops Foundation Drum Course also features an example Drum Chart by 90′s Britpop Band Oasis, see below.
How do I Use the Course?
You can choose how you want to use this flexible Course material:
Either use it like a hobby/pastime eBook or drumming guide app to read and play in your free time. Or, as an ’Introduction to Drums’ MIDI eBook Drum Course. However, if you prefer, use the Course material to compliment the teaching of your traditional one-to-one drumming lessons with your local drum tutor/instructor. Britchops need not replace personal lessons, but improve your private tutor lesson experience with ready written practice material.
